「Design of proteins using computational and experimental methods and experimental assessment of their effects on biological phenomena」
Our laboratory aims to elucidate biological phenomena at the atomic and molecular levels as a boundary area between biology and information science / physics. Therefore, we analyze and design the physical properties and structures of proteins using bioinformatics, biophysics, evolutionary engineering and protein engineering, and modify proteins such as enzymes and antibodies. We are continuing research with the aim of utilizing modified proteins and their design methods in the fields of biotechnology and drug discovery.
