活動報告
2011年12月21日：ポストフィールド報告会・ケーススタディワークショップ
2011年度前期に、海外フィールド実習とインターンシップを終了した学生のうち14人が、活動と成果を発表しました。今セミナーからは、「ポストフィールド報告会」と「ケーススタディワークショップ」を合体させ、問題の理解から解決策の提示までを、いっそう現場に即する形とすることを目指しました。
FOLENSのメンバーは、所属分野や研究テーマがさまざまですので、発表や質疑応答で専門分野の異なる人への説明をいかに行って、活動の意義を伝えるかは大切であり、このことは近い将来「現場立脚型環境リーダー」としても必要とされる能力です。質疑を含めて、現地で進行する問題の理解、研究の進展、現場経験の振り返りを促進し、将来への応用を考える機会になったと思います。
発表後の全体討論では、海外フィールド実習およびインターンシップで各々が取り組んだ実際の課題と、それら各課題相互の関連性を議論しました。発表内容には無かった仮想的な環境問題も、発表された各課題を結びつけるものとして加えて議論し、背景を併せて考えることで、問題構造の理解に努めました。
今回は時間の都合上、「持続のためには何を行うべきか」、「誰がその問題に取り組むべきか」、「自分たちは何をすべきか」といった議論を行うことは出来ませんでしたが、次回以降、FOLENSセミナーなどの機会も通じて、対応策の検討にも踏み込んでいきたいと思います。（HO）
