We attended the 8th APSERI 2025

We attended The 8th Asia-Pacific Congress of Sericulture and Insect Biotechnology (8th APSERI 2025), held at Kyushu University’s Ito Campus from September 17–19.

This was the first time the Shoji Lab had participated in a conference. Since it was being held in Japan, our first conference turned out to be an international one.

I went to Kyushu University’s Ito Campus. It was a bit of a hassle since it was a little far from Hakata, but it was a very spacious, beautiful, and pleasant campus.

The venue was a very large auditorium.

The fourth-year students who joined our lab this year also did their best giving poster presentations (their first conference presentations).
Since it was an international conference, they prepared both their posters and presentations in English and gave it their all.
They received many good questions and constructive feedback, so we hope to put that to good use.

We were thrilled that Shia won the Best Presenter Award!
