Smart Mobility Research Centreは，オープン・イノベーション・ラボラトリとして，２０１１年現在では，永井正夫研究室，鎌田崇義研究室，ポンサトーン・ラクシンチャランサク研究室によって構成されています．この名称を使用したきっかけは，機械システム工学科としてモビリティ研究グループを結集しようとして，吉田秀久（現在防衛大学校准教授）研究室，道辻洋平（現在茨城大学准教授）研究室が２００４年に立ち上がった時点にさかのぼります．この間に，企業との共同研究，科学研究費，JRTTやNEDO，あるいはJSTから競争的な外部資金を獲得して受託研究をしてきました．
本小冊子は，この間にグループとして携わってきた研究課題を紹介するとともに，最近の研究成果の学会発表と現時点でのメンバーを紹介しています．日本語と英語を併記したのは，国内の産官学の皆様への情報発信とともに，最近富みに増えてきた海外の訪問者への情報提供を目的としています．もちろん学内の皆様への情報の共有もできればと期待するところです．

Smart Mobility Research Centre comprises three laboratories, Prof. Nagai, Prof. Kamada, and Associate Prof. Pongsathorn, as an open-innovation laboratory in the field of vehicle and mobility engineering. The research laboratory has been named since 2004 when bringing neighbouring laboratories, established by Dr. Hidehisa Yoshida (currently, associate professor at National Defence Academy) and Dr. Yohei Michitsuji (currently, associate professor at Ibaraki University) in the field of mobility research together. Since AMRL was formed, we have got a number of research fundings from government agencies like JRTT, NEDO, JST, joint research funds from industry, as well as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research.
This pamphlet is published to give you a broad overview of our current activities as well as to exhibit the latest results and to introduce members of the research laboratory. This bilingual (English and Japanese) pamphlet is expected to be utilized for transmission of such information, especially to governments, industry, academia (GIA) as well as rapidly-increasing foreign researchers. Moreover, this pamphlet also aims to share the technical information and foster strong connections among current TUAT members.
