TUAT and the University of Bonn launches Collaborative Research Laboratory in Bonn




On June 9th 2015, TUAT and the University of Bonn concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a Collaborative Research Laboratory in the campus of the University of Bonn.

The signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the University of Bonn. TUAT was represented by President Tadashi Matsunaga, Vice-President Chisato Miyaura, Director-General Yasushi Watanabe and Assoc. Prof. Masaki Inada. Representing the University of Bonn, were Rector Michael Hoch, Dean Peter Stehle of Faculty of Agriculture and Prof. Florian Grundler. Japan Consul-General in Dusseldorf, Mr. Kaoru Shimazaki, JSPS Bonn Director Mr. Keiichi Kodaira, and Deputy Director, Ms. Yuriko Nishizaki also attended the ceremony to celebrate the new relationship between the two universities.

The two universities signed the Letter of Intent and the MOU to establish their official partnership in August 2011 and have been developing various joint researches and student/faculty exchanges. The new collaboration laboratory was launched to encourage those joint activities. TUAT and the University of Bonn reaffirmed the significance of their partnership and agreed to make continuous effort to strengthen their joint activities.
