Research Overview


In Nagai Laboratory, research and development are mainly related to safety and comfortable automobiles and railway vehicles including human-oriented safety vehicles, low-emission & low-noise vehicles, high speed railway vehicles, etc. We also intend to serve the future society where there is an increasing number of senior citizens by developing intelligent transport systems equipped with "Human-Machine Interface".

Generally, characteristics of vehicle dynamics and vibration are derived from the kinematics point of view based on theoretical analysis. Then, control systems are designed and are later validated via computer simulation. Finally, the implementation is carried out either with vehicle models or full-scale vehicles to observe their effectiveness.
