Prof. Nakamura, Mr. Hayakawa, Mr. Takeda, Mr. Ikari, and Ms. Kontani attended it, and all participants had presentations. Mr. Takeda recieved poster presentation award. | |
| Aug. 7-12 | 15th International Conference on Biological Inorganic Chemistry (ICBIC15) has been held in Vancouver B.C., Canada. Assoc. Prof. Nakamura, Ms. Masuda, and Ms. Shionoiri attended it to have poster presentations. | |
| Aug. 3-5 | 29th Summer Seminar on Electrochemistry has been held in Hachioji seminar house. Ms. Masuda, Mr. Suzuki, Mr. Kuroda, and Mr. Takeda attended it, and all participants had presentations. Ms. Masuda recieved best poster presentation award. |  |

Ms. Tsuji recieved best poster presentation award. |  |
| Jun. 13-14 | 14 members visited Prof. C. Austen Angell's laboratory, Arizona State University. Mr. Kohno, Ms. Tsuji, Mr. Abe, and Ms. Taguchi had oral presentations in English. On the next day, we enjoyed adventure around Arizona mountains, and had a BBQ party together. |  |

| Jun. 2 | Dr. Fujita and Dr. Ichikawa obtained grant-in-aid for Scientific Research. Memorial wine glasses were gifted to them from lab members with great celebration. |  |

| Apr. 8 | We held the seminar for two national meetings cancelled by the earthquake on 11 Mar. in our Koganei campus. Nishikawa lab., Chiba University kindly joined us for the discussion. | Mar.25 | The graduation ceremony has been cancelled because of the large-scale earthquake. However, our department has made our original ceremony to celebrate the graduating students.

| Mar. 11 | The earthquake with 9.0 on the Richter scale hit off northeast coasts of Honshu, Japan. Fortunately, all of lab. member are safe. For safety, all the experiments in the lab. were refrained for a while. We have been studying hard at our room under scheduled black out. | |

| Mar. 6-7 | We have been to a lab. seminar for studying in Tsukuba, Ibaraki. Mr. Ichikawa, assistant professor of our laboratory, presented his research topics. After the lecture, we had a party with dinner and alcohols. |  |

| feb. 28 | Eight members of our laboratory presented their graduation theses. All members presented successfully based on their hard practice. We celebrated them in the evening. |  |

| Jan. 24 | Dr. T. Hayashi, graduate student of our laboratory, got a Ph. D. degree from Oregon Health & Science University, USA. We celebrated his Ph. D. with Oregon wines. |  |
