研究内容 Research
The Media Processing Research Group (Iwasaki Lab) at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology studies video processing technologies for Society 5.0, connecting cyber and physical spaces with low latency. Our research spans from algorithms to hardware implementation and real-world deployment.
- Media processing algorithms — video coding (VVC/H.266, next-generation codecs, point cloud compression) and AI-based object recognition for edge devices.
- Hardware architectures — high-throughput FPGA/VLSI architectures for video encoders, entropy coding, transforms, image signal processing, and memory/cache systems.
- High-performance computing — parallel and GPU acceleration of video processing, and optimization using Ising machines.
- Visualization and low-latency systems — tools that simplify mapping video processing onto FPGAs, and low-latency implementation for interaction in cyber-physical spaces.
