About Cooperative Major of
Advanced Health Science

“Cooperative Major in Advanced Health Science” is structured based on the fields of science, engineering, and agriculture, and aims to offer an advanced and fused graduate school education/research, which covers the diverse areas including veterinary science, pharmaceutical science, food science, and medical science. Our educational and research policy is nurturing human resources who can manifest their abilities in solving and exploring various issues and who also possess international views with strong ethical values.

This department is the first cooperative major in Japan, actualized through the partnership between a national university (Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology: TUAT) and a private university (Waseda University). The incorporation of one department by many outstanding professors from the graduate schools of both universities, who are leading-edge experts in life science, environmental science, and food science, achieves high-level doctoral curriculums, integrating a broad range of research fields.

From TUAT, the front-line professors of the following departments, who are distinguished experts in biotechnology, drug discovery, food chemistry, and veterinary science, provide you with a strong boost of improvement as an active researcher.
