Lao Handwritten Character Database

In the recently year Nakagawa laboratory had open for a new topic in the fields of online character recognition; the new interest is including online Lao handwritten character recognition. As a result we have collected Lao handwritten character sample for this purpose which we gathered from 49 native Lao speakers and one from Japanese native speaker. The database including 30 consonants (which 3 are what we called it the compound consonant), 4 tones and 19 vowels symbol for Lao script (see sample page below).

To make our results become more reliable, we would like to share our database among those researcher who might be interest or doing research in this or related area topic (free of charge).
