アジア・アフリカ地域で活躍する未来の環境分野のリーダー人材育成を目指した
新しい大学院教育『アジア・アフリカ現場立脚型環境リーダー育成プログラム』

本学では、平成22年4月からアジア・アフリカ地域で活躍する「現場立脚型環境リーダー」の育成を目指し、大学院の全専攻に所属する学生を対象にした「アジア・アフリカ現場立脚型環境リーダー育成プログラム（FOLENSプログラム）」を設けます。プログラムでは、幅広い分野の講義やフィールド実習・インターンシップ等実践的な学びの場を提供するとともに、様々な国から学生を受入れて国際的な視野を養う環境を実現します。全ての講義は英語で行われます。また、タイ、マレーシア、ベトナム、ガーナに海外拠点を設置しています。

東京農工大学が2009年度より進めてきた現場立脚型環境リーダー育成拠点形成事業の最終年にあたり、本シンポジウムでは、「アジア・アフリカ現場立脚型環境リーダ育成プログラム」の成果と展望について、プログラム学生、卒業生、関係各教員、さらに海外拠点大学教員の視点から議論します。また、同事業を実施してきた横浜国立大学、東京大学よりゲストをお招きし、ご意見をいただきます。それらをふまえ、今後の農工大、また高等教育全体における環境人材育成のあり方や将来像を共に考えます。

In this final year of the project to establish the FOLENS program, this symposium aims at reviewing the outcomes and issues of FOLENS from multiple perspectives of students, graduates, and faculty, and to discuss the prospects with faculty of FOLENS Education & Research Base universities and the other universities in Japan that have also conducted the environmental leadership development projects.

The symposium focuses on development of field oriented human resource.The experience from FOLENS program will be reported and guests from a variety of fields will share the expectation towards “field oriented mind and skill sets” for global environmental human resource. 今回のシンポジウムは特に各国、各分野の環境関連のキャリアパスの現状や将来を知る機会として企画しました。各海外教育研究拠点からのゲストによる各国の現場立脚型環境分野のキャリアパスの現状についてのご講演、各界からのゲストによる現場立脚型環境リーダーとしてのキャリア経験と学生への期待についてのご講演とパネルディスカッションを行います。プレゼンテーション演習は、環境に関わるあらゆる分野を対象とし、農工大の修士・博士課程学生が行っている研究内容、FOLENSプログラムの 海外・国内フィールド実習で得られたデータの検討結果が発表されます。

The symposium is planned to be an opportunity to overview current and future situations of career opportunities in environmental sectors, and to discuss skills, awareness and knowledge required for such careers.
Distinguished guests in various sectors (engineering, agriculture, NGO,international organization, government and university) from various Asian and African countries are invited. The program includes presentations and panel discussion.
In the "Presentation Skill Training" on the following day, students from various departments of TUAT will make poster presentations on their Master / Doctoral research contents with an environmental focus, and achievements acquired inoverseas and domestic trainings in FOLENS program.
