Senior Advisor to President of CAAS, Dr. Wei Qi, in courtesy visit to Prof. Tsutsumi

On October 26, Dr. Wei Qi and a group from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences paid a courtesy visit to Professor Tsutsumi. TUAT and CAAS have been uniting efforts from this August, mainly through prof. Toshio Nomiyama. This visit aimed at creating an opportunity for exchange of ideas and led to an agreement between schools.
The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, CAAS, was created in March of 1957, primarily as a central institution dealing with sciences applied to agriculture and it is the main institution in terms of agricultural research in China. It holds an educational institution and its graduate course (masters and doctors course) has over 4.000 students currently enrolled.
During the visit, Prof. Nie Haisong was also present. After the visit to the campus, Prof. Ogiwara, Chief of Researches, and the responsible for the FS Center, Prof Yokoyama, guided a lively discussion session, which focused on topics such as joint international research and the exchange of both researchers and students.
